Expert Management and Data
There are currently many challenges in accurately recording experts and their relating fees when handling a claim, primarily caused by legacy systems or processes. However, a better understanding of these and what is available to managing agents can go someway to help the claims community until technology and services are enhanced or provided.
This communication seeks to clarify the following areas of expert management:
Challenges and clarification
- The provision of necessary instructions to XCS TP, including the setting up of experts and the associated splitting of fees/expenses from indemnity.
- The data received within the Syndicate Claims Message (SCM), including the variations of SCM structure for different classes of business.
- The granular data provided within the Claims Reporting Suite and the Lloyd’s Additional Data report.
