COVID-19: LMA Update
LMA office and our people
Our office, located on Gallery 4 of the Lloyd’s building, is closed until further notice. LMA staff are currently working from home as we continue to operate as close to usual as possible.
As part of our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our staff and their families, a policy of flexible working is in place to enable our people to fulfil their caring responsibilities during the exceptional COVID-19 circumstances so please note that, while your emails are important to us, you may not receive an immediate response.
Staying in touch
We are continuing to host LMA meetings, forums, committees and a weekly Board meeting via conference call, video conference or a combination of the two.
If you have any questions, LMA staff contact details can be found here.
Model Wordings
The underwriting team has produced a number of model policy wordings* in relation to communicable disease/coronavirus to enable underwriters to provide clarity to policyholders. These are available on the LMA Wording page and can be downloaded from the Lloyd’s Wordings Repository. The underwriting team is continuing to prioritise working with our members and the market to product additional wordings, where required, in the coming weeks.
*Please note: LMA model wordings are purely illustrative and are distributed for the guidance of its members, who are free to agree to different conditions or amend as they see fit.
LMA Events and Academy programmes
All events planned to take place in the Lloyd’s Building or in the EC3 area have been either cancelled or postponed, but some sessions may be taking place via video conference. Any forthcoming events will be added to the LMA events page when details become available.
All LMA Academy training programmes scheduled to take place this year have been postponed. We have informed all registered delegates. The LMA Academy are pleased to announce a series of online technical soundbites focusing on a range of Underwriting and Claims topics. To find out more visit the Academy Programmes page.
