LMA appoints new wordings executive
The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has appointed Frances Shaw to the role of Technical Executive, Wordings.
Frances joins from Liberty Specialty Markets where she was a wordings specialist. She has also worked for Brit during her 19 years in the London insurance market. She will report to Alison Colver, the LMA’s Manager, Wordings.
Frances will support the drafting of LMA model wordings and work closely with the LMA’s Wordings Forum.
Alison Colver said: “Wordings has been a particularly busy area of the LMA’s responsibilities in recent years; over the past 24 months the LMA has produced over 150 model wordings for use by Lloyd’s underwriters. That workload is only set to grow with the increase in consumer legislation and passing of the Insurance Act 2015.
“Frances understands and shares our commitment to the production of high quality, well drafted wordings to the Lloyd’s market and we are delighted to welcome her to the team.”
Frances takes up her new role with immediate effect.
