Nominations Sought for Underwriters to join new LMA Medical Malpractice Committee

The LMA’s Medical Malpractice group (underwriting), previously a sub-committee of the North American Errors’ and Omissions’ Committee, has become a full committee in its own right as of 01 January 2022. As a result, we are now seeking new members. If you would like to nominate a colleague to become a member of the Medical Malpractice Committee, please contact me at Katie.Clark@lmalloyds.com.

Please note that the LMA’s usual underwriting committee membership criteria will apply, including:

Broad experience of the sector.
Recognised authority among practitioners.
Ability to represent practitioners’ interests to external bodies.
Reputation for fairness and integrity.
Technical knowledge.

If possible we will offer a place to all managing agents. However, if there are too many applicants, we may have to limit the number of places available and hold an election. The LMA enriches the marketplace by developing people and seeking ideas from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures and skills so please reflect on this as part of your nomination process.
