The LMA Sustainability Committee discussed feedback from the CUO Committee and agreed to prioritise further scoping work around transition plans, insurability and protection gaps, and sustainability data points. The discussion emphasised that transition plans should be approached as a source of risk-relevant underwriting information, with practical outputs potentially including guidance, prompts, indicators and AI-enabled analysis. The Committee also considered data centres, the sustainability implications of AI, reflections from London Climate Action Week and the Climate Risk Working Group’s climate scenario analysis work. Further engagement will be undertaken with interested CUO Committee members to clarify priorities and define an appropriate work programme.
