The Joint Natural Resources Committee (JNRC) Survey & Engineering Subcommittee has published its Offshore Wind Claims Bulletin 2026, bringing together claims insights from AXIS, Niord and Allianz.
The bulletin examines emerging claims trends across the offshore wind sector, drawing on insurers’ experience of losses during both construction and operational phases. It highlights the increasing frequency of wind turbine claims, the significant costs associated with subsea cable failures and the growing impact of business interruption on overall loss severity.
By identifying common causes of loss and areas of concern, the publication aims to support insurers, project sponsors and contractors in strengthening risk mitigation strategies and reducing the recurrence of avoidable losses.
The JNRC Survey and Engineering Subcommittee also produces and maintains a range of technical documents, including Good Practice Guidelines, Scopes of Work and Codes of Practice.
