The Property Insurance Claims Group discussed expanding membership and the new Delegated Authority Claims Management Group’s role in managing property binders. Updates were shared on the appraisal clause improvements and plans for a DOI Cat returns API to enhance efficiency. Members agreed to move towards in-person meetings to encourage collaboration. Strategies to improve communication with brokers were highlighted, along with sharing best practices and experiences. Discussions also covered the property binders claims landscape and agreed next steps for operational improvements, broker relations and industry engagement. The next meeting will build on these initiatives.
