Updated Sabotage and Terrorism Insurance Policy Wording Published

LMA25-029-TC | 29 September 2025

The LMA’s Terrorism and Political Violence Business Panel has produced an updated model sabotage and terrorism wording – LMA3030B.

The changes are as follows:

  1. Updated cyber exclusion
The ‘electronic means’ exclusion is now consistent with LMA5409A and definitions of ‘computer system’, ‘cyber act’ and ‘data’ have been added.
  2. Updated sanctions clause
LMA3100A (Sanctions Limitation Clause) has been added, replacing the previous ‘sanction limitation and exclusion clause’.
  3. Minor amendment to the ‘Act of Terrorism’ definition.

LMA3030B is available via the Lloyd’s Wordings Repository and LMA3030A has been archived.

All LMA model documents are purely illustrative and are published and distributed for the guidance of Lloyd’s managing agents, brokers and other market participants. All contracting parties are free to agree to different conditions/amend the model documents as they see fit; the LMA does not protect its intellectual property rights over model documents. It is for underwriters to decide whether or not any contractual language is acceptable on any given risk. Model documents are available on the Lloyd’s Wordings Repository (LWR).
