FSI Wording Review
The Committee reviewed the first draft of the FSI wording produced by the Working Group, incorporating comments from multiple members. Further comments will be gathered before reconvening in early May for additional review. It was also noted that insureds could make separate claims under SPD if sold standalone.

BEVA Euthanasia Guidelines
An update from BEVA indicated their revised guidelines were pending publication. No material changes were expected, and confirmation would follow upon final release.

Amendments to LMA Model Wordings
The Panel agreed to begin drafting amendments updating terminology from “humane destruction” to “emergency” and “non-emergency euthanasia” ahead of BEVA’s final guidance, with an example wording to be circulated for review.

Model Exclusion – Export of Livestock for Slaughter
Members noted the proposed exclusion sponsored by Fidelis, confirming it applied to international markets as export for live slaughter is already illegal in the UK. No objections were raised.

Nick Mills Memorial Lecture 2026
Members proposed potential themes including foal and neonatal health, genetic fertility testing in stallions and neurological conditions in sport horses. Possible speakers will be identified following further internal discussion, and a list of previous speakers will be circulated.
