The meeting reviewed progress on several ongoing actions. The LMA wordings team has produced a draft Type 5 Cyber War Exclusion clause, to be circulated by the end of July for member feedback. The panel received the Lloyd’s major claim return report on the CrowdStrike incident and discussed potential development of a model infrastructure clause; given mixed views, members will create poll questions to gauge opinion. Engagement continues with the Emerging Professionals Sub-Committee, with a meeting arranged with the Lloyd’s U35 group in early September. Work also progresses on model SME cyber wording, with the LMA consulting government and industry bodies while drafting a modular clause. A Non-Marine Committee update highlighted growing use of outdated data clauses (LMA2914/5) and introduced guidance accompanying the LMA5670 documentation clause. Under AOB, members were reminded about accurate risk coding and agreed to revive broker engagement training with two planned autumn sessions.
