The committee noted the standing down of the DTEP working party. Discussions covered the LMA’s future website upgrade and the possibiity of issuing updates similar to the climate litigation committee. The committee liaised with the IG over sanctions and considered refreshing wording such as Longhorn and JL2014. Enhancing engagement with reinsurers was highlighted as a key priority. Topics included facilities risks, climate exclusions, PFAS wording and Texas tort reform proposals. Horizon scanning addressed BIPA litigation, AI adoption and alternative fuels. A need for more qualified salvage fire-fighters was noted. Feedback was invited on effectiveness and the Taylor lawsuit.
