The Panel reviewed progress on the Terrorism Foundation Training Programme, noting the need for stronger insurance fundamentals among participants. Updates were provided on key wordings: legal advice on LMA3030 was discussed, especially the challenge of defining “state-sponsored” acts, and further review of LMA5010E was delegated to the Wordings Committee. The US T3L wording will be amended to clarify coverage. The formation of a Deadly Weapon Interest Group was supported, with members invited to join. Risk codes for 2027 were considered, with no immediate changes proposed. The Panel reflected on the recent Forum which included a presentation from the Government Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation and planned for the next events. Other topics included vigilance on claims fees, guidance on the RITC clause, concerns over increased commissions and brokerage, and the importance of compliance with Lloyd’s guidelines for long-term periods and cyber coverage. The August meeting was cancelled due to holidays.
