The panel were informed of key updates which focused on the Delegated Authority (DA) modernisation programme. Nigel Roberts outlined the CBAA project, which aims to replace over 150 binding authority wordings with a unified modular version supported by a digital library and contract-creation tools. Market-wide engagement is ongoing, with an analogue wording due in Q1 and full digital launch mid-year. Nigel also introduced new LMA guiding principles for DA, promoting streamlined onboarding, audits, and interoperable systems; members queried practical implementation and compliance. The group reviewed draft guidance on expectations of lead and follow underwriters, noting the need for clearer contract guidelines, consistent data, and inclusion of claims-fund oversight. The document will undergo further review. Updates were provided on older model wording reviews and the US accident form rewrite. Other business included extending the committee chair’s term and circulation of biography templates.
