Personal Accident Business Panel – 27 January 2026

The Personal Accident Business Panel met on 27 January, chaired by Russell Burrows as newly elected Deputy Chair. New members were welcomed and thanks recorded to departing members. Previous minutes were approved and a technical guidance note had been issued via LMA Bulletin.

The committee agreed to invite Patrick Davison for regular updates and to form a working group to review Lloyd’s market data quarterly, addressing limited access to A&H performance insights. Members discussed the published AI loss scenarios survey and debated further research into systemic risks, including pandemics and cyber-related airport failures, agreeing to revisit the topic.

Updates included development of evergreen profit commission clauses and progress on a draft US Accident wording, now pending US legal review. Broader discussions covered US jurisdictional risks, the UK Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, broker notification of large placements, and the need for improved data collection on new binding authorities.
