The Terrorism and Political Violence Business Panel agreed to form a working group to review cartel violence coverage in Latin America and consider model definitions and exclusions for market use. The Panel reviewed progress on Middle East wording, including state-backed terrorism and warlike operations exclusions, and supported scenario testing and further legal review. The UAE law and jurisdiction seminar was noted, with DIFC law, English law and LCIA arbitration highlighted as preferable approaches. Members supported a proposed 9/11 25th anniversary event focusing on product development and market change. Updates were also provided from the Non-Marine Committee on the Marsh governing law paramount clause, AI definitions and data centre training. AOB covered TRIA renewal progress, Lloyd’s cyber war risk coding guidance and the use of AI to identify clause issues.
