Worldwide Property Business Panel – 04 September 2025

The panel reviewed outstanding actions and current market issues. The LMA is awaiting broker feedback on LMA5400B and continues work on wordings, including drafts of 3022/3023 and the development of an international version of 3182. Committee elections will now occur biennially, with a new chair starting in January. Upcoming legal sessions will address law and jurisdiction clauses where the state is unspecified, and the November D&F Forum will focus on US regulatory and political developments. Claims concerns were highlighted, particularly Australasian insurers’ interpretation of the Lloyd’s claims scheme; reminders will be issued to ensure Lloyd’s leads remain involved. Market conditions remain challenging, with brokers seeking post-loss wording changes and pushing for terms that reintroduce non-physical damage BI cover. The group noted ongoing discussions on TRIA reauthorisation, preparations for the 15th of September Lloyd’s Australia/NZ visit, and potential rescheduling of upcoming October and November meetings.
