Cyber Clauses for use on Casualty Reinsurance Business

Lloyd’s Market Association Bulletin

To notify interested parties that, in order to satisfy Lloyd’s Bulletin Y5277 – Providing clarity for Lloyd’s customers on coverage for cyber exposures, the LMA International Casualty Reinsurance Business Panel has published the following model clauses:

  • LMA5452 – Limited Cyber Exclusion Clause (Casualty Reinsurance) No.2 – TPL.
  • LMA5454 – Limited Cyber Exclusion Clause (Casualty Treaty) No. 4 – UK Motor Third Party Liability.
  • LMA5456 – Limited Cyber Exclusion Clause (Casualty Treaty) No. 6 – International Motor Third Party Liability. 
  • LMA5458 – Cyber Exclusion Clause – (Casualty Treaty).

As with all LMA model clauses, these clauses are purely illustrative and are distributed for the guidance of LMA members, who are free to agree to different conditions or amend as they see fit. These clauses are available on the Lloyd’s Wordings Repository (LWR), which can be accessed via www.lloydswordings.com.

A number of other draft model cyber clauses are currently under consideration by the Panel. Publication of these additional clauses, once finalised and approved, will follow in due course. Any queries regarding the content of this Bulletin should be referred to the LMA.
