Description
The LMA invites you to attend the Society of Offshore Marine Warranty Surveyors (SOMWS) Workshop, delivered in conjunction with the Joint Natural Resources Committee.
This focused session will explore the role of SOMWS and the work of the Marine Warranty Surveyor in providing engineering assurance for complex and high-value marine project risks across offshore energy and renewable projects.
The workshop will provide energy and renewable insurance practitioners with a clearer understanding of SOMWS’ role in providing leadership, upholding standards and supporting knowledge development across the marine warranty survey community.
Attendees will also gain practical insight into the day-to-day work of a Marine Warranty Surveyor, alongside an overview of the key challenges currently facing the sector.
SOMWS was established in 2017, with the support of the Joint Natural Resources Committee, as an international professional body for those involved in the warranting of marine operations. It has since grown to include over 480 full members and approximately 290 associate members.
