Hosted by the LMA, the session brought together those with an interest in the Energy Exploration and Development Insurance 8/86 Form to hear an overview of the changes following a detailed review by the Joint Natural Resource Committee and the Joint Energy Claims Group.

During the webinar, Elliot Boler, Senior Associate at Clyde & Co, outlined the updates made to the form, explained the rationale behind the changes and highlighted areas that have been clarified as a result of the consultation process. The review focused on updating and clarifying specific provisions rather than undertaking a full rewrite of the standard form, which is now issued as Energy Exploration and Development Insurance 8/86, revised 11/25.
