Chief Information Security Officers Forum

The LMA’s Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) Forum is open to senior information security professionals from LMA managing agent member firms, with participation from associated organisations by invitation.

The Forum serves as a collaborative space for information sharing, professional networking and alignment on cyber security issues affecting the Lloyd’s market. It also acts as a communication channel between the wider information security community and the LMA’s CISO Committee.

The CISO Forum supports a more connected, informed and proactive security community across the Lloyd’s market.

The Forum’s objectives are to:

Facilitate two-way engagement between Forum members and the LMA CISO Committee
Enable networking and collaboration among senior security professionals from across the market
Share cyber threat intelligence and updates on emerging risks
Promote knowledge exchange and build awareness of best practices in cyber security
Host regular events and discussions to strengthen market-wide resilience
Introduce relevant third-party organisations and subject matter experts to support knowledge-sharing and capability development

Chief Information Security Officers Committee

The CISO Committee, a sub-committee of the LMA Operations Committee, serves as the primary forum for senior information security professionals from Lloyd’s managing agents to collaborate on cyber and information security matters affecting the market.

The committee monitors the evolving cyber threat landscape, reviews recent incidents and discusses new and emerging risks. It also addresses shared areas of interest such as cover holder audits, third-party assurance, compliance with Lloyd’s minimum standards, regulatory expectations from the PRA and the management of outsourced systems and services.

In partnership with Lloyd’s, the committee works to align market and Corporation approaches to cyber resilience, ensuring that member perspectives are reflected in the development of security standards and expectations. It leads on behalf of the LMA Operations Committee (LMAOC) in overseeing cyber resilience initiatives and provides expert guidance to both LMAOC and the LMA Claims Committee (LMACC) on market-wide cyber and information security strategy.

Technology Group

The Technology Group, a sub-committee of the LMA Operations Committee, brings together Heads of IT from Lloyd’s managing agents to collaborate on technology strategy, systems development and market-wide digital initiatives.

The group provides a forum for members to exchange insights, explore shared challenges and influence the direction of IT within the Lloyd’s market. It also supports ongoing awareness of the capabilities and offerings of technology vendors operating in the insurance space.

In addition to shaping strategic discussions, the Technology Group offers a valuable networking platform for senior IT leaders to review emerging technologies, operational developments and other topics of collective interest.
