The Political Risk Claims Group offers a dedicated forum for discussing key developments and shared challenges in the political risk market. It advises the LMA Claims Committee, drives focused initiatives through sub-groups and supports other sector groups with specialist input.
The group is committed to creating learning and development opportunities for claims handlers new to the political risk space. Working with ASL, the group will launch a training initiative showcasing all aspects of claim in this exciting class of business.
The group continues to monitor geopolitical situations across multiple jurisdictions, including the Ukrainian conflict with Russia, various South American and African conflicts and the ongoing Israeli/Haas conflict.
The group holds an annual Political Risk Claims Symposium to foster market-wide collaboration and discuss key issues for the market.
